I am not sure how to approach this question, g(x) is not contraction within the interval. We can find a sub-interval in [pi/4, pi/2] that has a unique fixed point, however it may not be unique with in the interval [pi/4, pi/2] .

Edit: Nvm all you need to do is rearrange the equation f(x), since from part b you know there exists a unique root in that interval.
